為配合IACUC動物福利查核的日益要求，公動與其它動物房相同，於B/C區的氣麻箱尾端(活性碳罐那一側)加裝了「白色方形排氣機」(如附圖的紅圈處)，目的是為輔助事後加速抽出麻醉氣體、增加小鼠術後的快速甦醒、避免其過量。

若使用者在小鼠麻醉「過程前/中」就開啟，可能導致小鼠長久無法被麻倒 (因為麻醉氣體馬上都被排氣機抽出了)、也會浪費氣體麻醉劑量。因此，建議您術後再開啟使用。

To comply with increasing animal welfare requirements by IACUC, AScore, like other animal rooms, has installed a "white square gas exhaust device" (circled in red in the attachment) at the end of the anesthesia box in area B/C (on the side with the activated carbon canister). This is to help accelerate the extraction of anesthetic gas, increase the speed of post-operative recovery in mice, and prevent their overdose.

If user turns it on before or during the anesthesia process, the mice may not be fully anesthetized for a long time (because the anesthetic gas is immediately extracted by the device), and the anesthetic dose may be wasted. Therefore, we recommend that you turn it on after the surgery.
