In response to the animal welfare of the Ministry of Agriculture and AS_IACUC, AScore has revised the original SOP 1121206-3-2v7 for solitary mouse as follows:

In accordance with the IACUC guideline of the Academia Sinica, social animals should be housed in pairs or groups. Single-housing mouse due to experimental needs must be approved by the IACUC before it can be conducted. If the animal is housed alone (number of animals = 1) due to the following situations, user "MUST" places an additional one environmental enrichment item; our caretakers will only help place an additional environmental enrichment item when a mouse is injured by fighting.

(1) Reproduction needs - for example a male mouse waiting to be bred, an adult female hamster, etc., which cannot be housed in pairs or groups.

(2) Unsociable behavior - for example an animal that is aggressive.

(3) For animal health and disease prevention and approved by AScore veterinarian - for example an injured or sick animal.

(4) Other special situations and approved by AScore veterinarian - for example a post-operative recovery.
