依據國動(NCB)官網，此品系(C57BL/6JNarl (B6))母鼠常見之自發性過度理毛發生掉毛或脫毛現象，嚴重時會導致母鼠潰瘍性皮膚炎，並非傳染病。如果出現過度理毛造成潰瘍性皮膚炎，建議以優碘擦拭傷口，一天 1-2 次，約一週應可獲得改善。若同籠動物中有毛髮完整者，則可能為造成其他動物脫毛的優勢個體，將其隔離後，其他脫毛者狀況可獲得改善。

According to the National Center for Biomodels (NCB), spontaneous hair loss or alopecia is common in this strain (C57BL/6JNarl (B6)) of female mice. In severe cases, it can cause ulcerative dermatitis in female mice. It is not a contagious disease. If ulcerative dermatitis occurs due to excessive grooming, it is recommended to clean the wound with betadine 1-2 times a day. Improvement should be seen in about a week. If there are animals with intact hair in the same cage, they may be the dominant individual causing hair loss in other animals. Isolating them may help improve the condition of the other animals with hair loss.
