公用動物設施(AS core)為一個中央研究「院級」的「P1-level (ABSL-1)」動物房，共可容納4,060小鼠籠位，任務為協助中央研究院「全院」各所中心老師們代養小鼠，以合乎SPF (specific-pathogen free) 檢疫規範之實驗小鼠為主 (大鼠等其它動物為輔)，我們位於生醫所後棟9樓及10樓，共分為四區：
一、10樓A區(繁殖區)：SPF List 50項特定病毒/細菌/寄生蟲的不檢出
可容納1,960籠位，可繁殖，不可空間開蓋。
二、10樓B區(試驗區)：SPF List 17項特定病毒/細菌/寄生蟲的不檢出
可容納1,680籠位。
- B1房 (用於手術後恢復, 腫瘤注射，不可繁殖) + 手術室：可容納420籠位，B1房不可空間開蓋，只有手術室可空間開蓋。
- B2房 (基因體中心專用，可繁殖) ：可容納700籠位，不可空間開蓋。
- B3房 (其它所中心及提供租賃實驗室使用，可繁殖) ：可容納560籠位，不可空間開蓋。
- 也有提供實驗室的租賃空間。
三、9樓C區(影像操作區, ex: IVIS擺放區)：SPF List 17項特定病毒/細菌/寄生蟲的不檢出
實驗室 (IVIS放置處)：可空間開蓋。
- C1房：檢疫室，不開放對外申請。獸醫師：曾弘毅。
- C2房 (不可繁殖)：可容納420籠位，不可空間開蓋。
- C3公用行為室 (Rotarod, Treadmill...)：可空間開蓋。
- C4公用代謝室：可空間開蓋。
- C5公用行為室-2 (Water maze, Open field...)：可空間開蓋。
四、10樓大鼠房：SPF List 11項特定病毒/細菌/寄生蟲的不檢出
可容納60籠位，不可繁殖，可空間開蓋。
AS core is an P1-level (ABSL-1) animal room at the Academia Sinica level, which can accommodate 4,060 mouse cages. The mission is to assist P.I. from various institutes/centers in Academia Sinica to raise mice, rats and other animals, that meet the SPF (specific-pathogen free) standards. We are located on the 9th and 10th floors of the back building in IBMS, and are divided into 4 areas:
1. Area A on the 10th floor (breeding area): SPF List 50
Accommodate 1,960 mouse cages, breeding is allowed, cannot be opened cage directly.
2. Area B on the 10th floor (experimental area): SPF List 17
Accommodate 1,680 mouse cages.
- Room B1 (for post-surgical recovery, tumor injection, no breeding) and Operating Room: Accommodate 420 mouse cages, only room B1 cannot be opened cage directly.
- Room B2 (exclusive for the GRC, breeding is allowed): Accommodate 700 mouse cages, cannot be opened cage directly.
- Room B3 (for other institutes/centers and rental lab provided, breeding is allowed): Accommodate 560 mouse cages, cannot be opened cage directly.
- And also provide with lab for rental space.
3. Area C on the 9th floor (imaging operation area, ex: IVIS): SPF List 17
IVIS location：can be opened cage directly.
- Room C1：Quarantine room, not open to external application. Veterinarian：Hung-Yi, Tseng.
- Room C2 (no breeding)- Accommodate 420 mouse cages, cannot be opened cage directly.
- C3 Public Behavioral room (Rotarod, Treadmill...).
- C4 Public Metabolic room.
- C5 Public Behavioral room-2 (Water maze, Open field...).
4. Room Rat on the 10th floor: SPF List 11
Accommodate 60 rat cages, no breeding, can be opened cage directly.
